*1 Peter 1:7
-It is important to keep our faith because God will preserve us.
1.) You have to have trials so that your faith can be proven.
-The story of Job is a great example. Job had faith in God despite all the obstacle that were being thrown his way.
2.) You go through what you go through, so that you are able to find God in your situation.
3.) You have obstacles so that your faith may be proven genuione, and then you can give God glory, honor, and praise.
-Your trials are tailor made, that way God gives you exactly what he know you can handle. In the end it will help to strengthen your faith.

*Matthew 8:1-4
-What is prayer? Your request to God
*Philippians 4:6
-It is important to have faith when you pray, know that God is capable of doing what you ask from Him.
-Know that there is a different between coming towards Jesus and coming to Jesus.
-You have to have faith in your heart.
A Faithful Approach;
1.) If will not allow you to push God or to be a pushover.
2.) It will give you expectancy against all odds.
3.) It will give you hope, no hope=little faith
4.) It will give you patience

-Overall just sit and wait on God to do what He will do.

In bible discussion we went over different scriptures that related to our college experience.
    *Leaving Home: Matthew 10:16-20

What we got from this was that we are leaving home for the first time, and at first it seems frightening and like we no longer have our protection that we might have had at home. But there is nothing to worry about, the Lord will definitely help us along the way.

    *Time Management/Procrastination: 2 Timothy 2:15, Proverbs 20:4
Basically if you put in no work at all, how do you expect to get anything out of it? Don't wait till the last minute to study for your test or do your homework, that you knew was due on a certain date. You know what needs to be dome so manage your time wisely. Also here is an article that you might want to check out. http://bible.org/seriespage/time-management

    *Anxiety/Depression/Doubt: Proverbs 3:5-6, Isaiah 41:10, Philippians 4:6-8, Proverbs 12:25, Matthew 6:34
All of these scriptures let you know that you should just put everything into Gods' hands. There is nothing to worry about, there is nothing that you should be anxious or depressed over. Nothing is too big for our God to handle, so let Him do just that...handle it! If there is something holding you down do not stay stuck on that thing, think of something good that is going on and focus your attention to it.

*Friends: Psalm 55:12-14 and Proverbs 18:24
When you get to college you find out that some friends will not be able to stay by your side. You get on different pages, start meeting news friends, and joining different groups. Some of your best friend will become strangers to you, but there are some people out there better than some family. No matter what you will never be alone.
